Analyst Makes a Wild Claim About a Possible Maple Leafs Buyout
The first buyout window of the season has now opened, and an analyst believes the Leafs should put their hand in the process.
Should the Leafs Buyout TJ Brodie?
While the question almost seems nonsensical, considering TJ Brodie is a staple in the Leafs top-four, analyst Jason Gregor of The Daily Faceoff believes the Maple Leafs should buy him out.
The logic behind it is somewhat flawed as well - while Brodie's buyout would cost the Leafs nothing this season, it would cost them $2.5-million the following seasons.
While the cap space this season is valuable, it would be tough to find a player as good as TJ Brodie with the same salary in this tough market.
