Eric "Moose" Anweiler, a staple and out right legend in the Toronto community, has sadly passed away.

Eric was the long time manager of the North Toronto arena, which people in the hockey community described as one of the best, if not the best run arena anywhere out there.

His personality was electric and he had a big heart. Eric truly cared about his family, as well as his hockey family. He will definitely be missed.

Saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Eric «Moose» Anweiler. Long time manager of North Toronto Arena, the best run Arena anywhere. A giant personality and presence and even larger heart. Great family man. We are going to miss you my great friend.

The North Toronto arena has been described as "weird" by several people, but in a good way. It's one of those arenas that you just remember fondly because it really provides an image in your mind that is hard to forget.

"There's a massive set of windows. TV's between the benches"

The community is hoping that this arena will now be taken over by someone who was as passionate as Eric was. Here's hoping it will be left in good hands. We offer our deepest condolences to all of Eric's family and friends. Rest in peace.
