Morgan Rielly laid a vicious hit last night after play was finished and now his fate is in the hands of the NHL DoPS. An insider just provided an update.
Johnston Provides An Update On Rielly's Suspension
Last night Morgan Rielly was ejected for his actions after a disrespectful goal by Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators.
It is now likely that Rielly will be suspended and we now have an update on what the NHL is thinking.

It sounds like @NHLPlayerSafety is still in the information-gathering stage after last night's Morgan Rielly cross-check on Ridly Greig, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Rielly get a hearing.
The DoPS have some time with the #leafs not due to play again until Tuesday.

With the nature of Rielly's actions, the NHL DoPS will want to get all of the details they can and hopefully, Rielly is able to plead his case.
