Leafs John Tavares' fate confirmed after massive injury scare
Maple Leafs fans were worried about captain John Tavares' health after he was seen on the bench in discomfort. His status was confirmed by his agent and the Maple Leafs.
Some people pointed out that Tavares didn't seem alright last Tuesday against the Golden Knights. Not only was he demoted to the third line, he gave away a goal to his opponents. At the bench, he seemed hurt.
"I have a question: What's got John Tavares so rattled? Is he playing through an injury? Is he pissed at being "demoted" to the 3rd line? Is he just mad at himself for things like his turnover that lead to a goal?"
According to Darren Dreger, the Leafs and Tavares' agent confirmed that the captain is healthy.
"We all saw Tavares in discomfort on the bench on Tuesday which has fuelled some speculation there is an injury situation. However, after checking with the team and the agent I'm told there is nothing health wise going on with JT."
This is great news for the Maple Leafs, who will try to bounce back from their tough loss against the Vegas Golden Knights tonight against the struggling Arizona Coyotes.
