With the trade deadline passed and the Maple Leafs not acquiring a goaltender it means they are comfortable with their current trio. The Maple Leafs have announced that the starter for the first game since the deadline will be Ilya Samsonov.
Ilya Samsonov is doing his usual starters routine and is the projected starter against the Habs tonight.

This means at least for now Samsonov is the go-to guy in Toronto. As the playoffs come closer the Maple Leafs will need to figure out if Samsonov is the answer or if young goaltender Joseph Woll can be trusted to carry the load.
