Easton Cowan has flashed potential as a prospect for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and now he is building major momentum and breaking records.

Picked in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Easton Cowan is shaping up to be a potential star in the NHL, after flashing all that potential in a pre-season Prospects Tournament for Toronto.

Now, after a solid start to the 2023-24 campaign with the OHL's London Knights, he's begun building incredible momentum, all the way to a season where he has tallied 34 goals and 96 points in just 56 games played.

It's the end of his season that's become noteworthy however, as Cowan finished the OHL season with points in 36 straight games, giving him the third longest point streak in any CHL competition since 2000. Over that time, players like Mitch Marner, John Tavares, Matthew Tkachuk and countless others have played in CHL competition, so this is a jaw dropping stat for Cowan, who passes both Connor Bedard and Logan Stankoven with his latest assist.

Cowan's (#LeafsForever) assist on Barkey's (#LetsGoFlyers) 35th extends his point streak to 36 games.

Cowan has passed Connor Bedard and Logan Stankoven for the third longest point streak in the CHL since 2000.

At just 18-years of age, the Ontario native still has plenty of time to grow both physically and mentally as he prepares to become an NHL regular, and while he may not go on to have the career of a Bedard, Crosby or any other top star that's played in a CHL league, he certainly has the potential to be a home run for the Maple Leafs.
