Former Toronto Maple Leafs player, Jay Rosehill, heavily criticizes the organization for their home season opener player introductions.

Every year, teams try to find more entertaining and original ways to present their players to the fans before their first home game of the season. Some teams, however, always do the same thing, and after years, it's starting to bore some people.

Jay Rosehill, a former member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, heavily criticized the ceremony in an intervention on the Leafs Morning Take. He said that the Montreal Canadiens did something a lot better, and qualified the Leafs' opener as "underwhelming and disappointing". He concluded by saying that he couldn't believe the Maple Leafs, one of the biggest hockey markets in the world, couldn't do better and criticized the Leafs' arena.

Watch the following video for his full declaration:

He didn't shy away from sharing his honest opinion, and many fans agree with him, as can be seen on X:

Comparing the Leafs and the Canadiens' opener, there's a big difference. The Habs wanted to offer a show, and they did it. They had an orchestra and a live band on the ice, far from what the Leafs offered to their fans.

This season in Toronto could be an important one, and unfortunately, everyone will remember the start of the first season of Auston Matthews as captain and Craig Berube behind the bench as boring.

Now, it'll be up to the players to make sure to offer a show the fans will remember. And this is not a show that happens in the regular season; it happens after the first round of the playoffs.

It is too early to be worrying about those things, but not too early to say that Leafs fans all over the world expected the team to do better for their home opener, despite a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
