The defenseman Joel Edmundson is set to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs' lineup tonight against the New Jersey Devils.

Edmundson, who joined the Leafs at the trade deadline, was limited to a mere seven games with his new team, after getting injured on March 24th in a game against the Hurricanes.

"Joel Edmundson is day-to-day with a minor injury, coach Sheldon Keefe says

He will not play tonight against the Devils [on March 26th]."

Sheldon Keefe confirmed that Edmundson is ready to get back in action, and should jump on the ice tonight to face the Devils:

"Looks like #LeafsForever D Joel Edmundson is expected to be in the lineup tonight vs #NJDevils"

Edmundson should play a huge role in the playoffs. His great leadership and passion were highlighted when he mentionned in a press conference that he would've played through the injury if it had happened in the playoffs.

"Joel Edmundson returns to action tonight. Injured by shot block. «If it was playoffs, I'd have played right through it,» he says."

More to come.
