Going into the 2024 NHL draft in Vegas, the Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to be picking at 23rd overall unless a trade occurs involving them. They have reportedly interviewed seven highly coveted prospects ahead of the NHL draft.
The Maple Leafs have met with Cole Eiserman, EJ Emery, Lucas Pettersson, Andrew Basha, Jack Pridham, Michael Hage and Stian Stolberg.
Of those interviewed, the most intriguing ones are Cole Eiserman, Andrew Basha and EJ Emery.
Eiserman, was once ranked at 2nd overall in many mock drafts going into the season, however his stock dropped drastically after his two way game was exposed. The forward is known for his remarkable goal ability.
Basha, evolved with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL with Cayden Lindstrom and Gavin McKenna, two powerhouses. Basha, is known for his remarkable playmaking ability and his ability to produce offensive plays that not many can.
Emery, is American defenseman standing at 6 feet and 4 inches. He would be an absolute presence on a pairing with defenseman Morgan Rielly.
Amongst those three, Eiserman is not expected to be available where the Leafs draft, however Andrew Basha and EJ Emery might be.
Exciting times ahead for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they will be adding another solid prospect to their growing rookie pipeline.
