Maple Leafs add new helmet sponsor, pairing perfectly with Milk on Their Jerseys
The Toronto Maple Leafs added a new helmet sponsor, which pairs perfectly with Milk on their jerseys: Oreo.
During the 2023-24 season, the Leafs had "Pizza Pizza" ads on their helmets, and it looks like they traded the 'za for a sweet treat.
Indeed, insider Chris Johnston revealed in a post on X that the Maple Leafs players will wear an Oreo ad on their helmets for the upcoming season.
The Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment's Senior Vice President, Jordan Vader, shared the following comment:
"As players gear up for each game and fans eagerly watch the action on the ice, we're thrilled to feature OREO on our helmets and highlight a brand that shares our commitment to pushing the creative limits of fan and consumer experiences. In partnership with Mondelēz Canada, we're excited to offer fans various ways to connect with OREO and the Toronto Maple Leafs throughout the season, including social contests, city pop-ups, in-arena activities, and more."
As for Oreo, they seem thrilled to make the deal happen with the Leafs, one of the most iconic teams in sports history.
Chantal Butler, the VP of Marketing for the cookie company, stated:
"Our iconic brand OREO is always looking to strengthen relevance with consumers via meaningful partnerships, and we are beyond excited to announce our playful connection with the Toronto Maple Leafs this season. It's a special privilege to have our logo placed on the helmets of one of Toronto's iconic and beloved teams, and we're excited to engage with fans all season long and take the consumer experience to the next level."
It was also announced that the Leafs will host a special event at Maple Leafs Square before the first pre-season game in Toronto, where fans will get a chance to win merch and get free Oreo cookies.
Oreos and Milk are a match made in heaven. Who doesn't love to dip those cookies in a glass of milk? The Leafs sure seem to be big fans. We bet there will be a few Oreo boxes in the locker room all season long.
