In another unfortunate turn of events for the oft-injured team, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann left Wednesday's game against the Florida Panthers.
It is currently unknown what the issue with McMann was but it's a worrying sign that McMann just up and left the game without really any indication why. Toronto can't afford to have any other injuries as they are just finally getting back Auston Matthews after almost a month.
McMann did not suit up for the third period either, another potentially catastrophic injury to the Maple Leafs.
The Maple Leafs have officially announced that it is a lower body injury, a lower body injury, per Luke Fox of Sportsnet.
McMann has been picking things up as of late, and has 6 goals so far with the Maple Leafs through 20 games. He was starting on the first line with John Tavares and was starting to come into his own as one of the Leafs biggest spark plugs on offense.
Current Maple Leafs forward injuries or suspensions:
- Max Domi (IR)
- Calle Järnkrok (LTIR)
- David Kämpf (IR)
- Auston Matthews (IR)
- Max Pacioretty (LTIR)
- Ryan Reaves (suspended)
- Matthew Knies (IR)
- Bobby McMann (Leaves the game)
The Toronto Maple Leafs are struggling right now. Players like Nick Robertson, Alex Nylander and Pontus Holmberg need to step up to fill in the shoes of the missing players.
