Murray, 30, signed a one-year, $875k deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs back in July after spending nearly all of the 2023-24 season recovering from hip surgery that limited him to three games with the Marlies in the AHL.
In an interview on Slangin' the Bizkit Podcast, he stated that he feels much better than he used to. He shared details about how he's been dealing with hip pain for many years and how it has affected the rest of his body.

With the Maple Leafs making many changes during the summer, including the addition of goalie Anthony Stolarz, it'll be interesting to see what kind of role Murray will have with the team.
Joseph Woll should get an important part of the workload, likely leaving Stolarz and Murray to compete for the number two role.
With his vast NHL experience, Murray could have an edge, but we'll have to wait until training camp to see what Brad Treliving, Craig Berube, and the rest of the Maple Leafs coaching staff decide to do.
