UPDATE – 3:20 P.M. - William Nylander will not play tonight, according to Sportsnet's Luke Fox. Nylander could return Saturday vs Vancouver.

The Toronto Maple Leafs morning skate reveals new details on the health of star forward William Nylander.
The Leafs took to the ice for a rare afternoon skate, or morning out west, ahead of a late night game against the Seattle Kraken, a 10 p.m. tilt in Seattle.
Toronto, trying to break a five game losing slump, while Seartle has won three of their last four, but the Toronto Maple Leafs could have some major news coming that flips things in their favor.
William Nylander, who has been out of the Leafs lineup due to a groin injury, is skating with the team in their practice ahead of tonight's game, with it possible that he could return for tonight.
Although he practiced with the team, Nylander joined in as the extra skater alongside Jacob Quillan, making it uncertain if Nylander would return for tonight vs the Kraken.
Nylander has missed the last six games for Toronto since being injured on Jan. 15th against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Leafs next three games keep them out west starting with Vancouver on Friday, and a back-to-back with Calgary next Monday and Edmonton the night after, the last game before the NHL's Olympics break.

Leafs head to Seattle hoping to turn things around from tough stretch

Despite being injured over the last two weeks, Nylander continues to lead the Leafs in points with 48, with 17 goals and 31 assists on the season.
Toronto brought up Marshall Rifai from the AHL after sending down Henry Thrun and Dakota Mermis, but Rifai appears to be a scratch.
Jacob Quillan continues to be a healthy scratch for the Leafs since being recalled on Jan. 19th, limited to an appearance of just 6:15 against Colorado on the 25th.
Anthony Stolarz gets the start for the Leafs in Seattle. Stolarz allowed five goals on 30 shots in his last appearance Friday against Vegas, his first game since returning from injury.
