Maple Leafs Officially Linked to 6'6 Defenseman Colton Parayko
The Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly interested in St.Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko as they look to improve their blue line this off-season.
It's been clear that GM Brad Treliving will be looking to off-shed forward salaries and hand many entry level spots to fill in their offensive core in hopes of building a new and improved defensive core.
Rumblings seem to support that the Leafs are willing to use multiple ELC and league minimum deals to fill out their forward group so they can finally fix the defensive issues.
At least one conversation has happened with an Atlantic rival about Calle Jarnkrok. Because of this, St.Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko has emerged as a perfect fit for GM Brad Treliving and his team.
The #LeafsForever are linked to #stlblues 6'6" defenseman Colton Parayko by David Pagnotta. Parayko led the NHL in blocked shots last year with 218 and averaged a career-high 23:51 TOI. He will be making $6.5m per year till he is 36.
It won't be a cheap cost for the defenseman, and GM Brad Treliving would most definitely have to get some salary cap space to fit such a contract like Parayko's.
