Mitch Marner clues in on a potential trade with his comments
The Toronto Maple Leafs season came to an unfortunate end at the hands of the Boston Bruins. After the series loss, many fans placed blame for the lack of success on forward Mitch Marner leading to trade rumors. Recently Mitch Marner responded to those trade rumors.
Mitch Marner for much of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2024 was ripped to shreds by fans. This has led to rumors that Mitch Marner's time in Toronto is coming to an end. When asked about that possibility Mitch Marner gave an interesting response.
Now of course the big difference between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors is a championship. The Raptors and many of those players referenced by Mitch Marner were able to bring home the ultimate prize. With the Maple Leafs things have always ended in heartbreak. Regardless Mitch Marner has made it known he would like to stay in Toronto if the option is available.

This offseason will be a major moment for Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving. He has an opportunity to shape a new core of players in his vision. This could mean parting ways with stars like Mitch Marner. If he decides to run it back again with this core and fails though it could signal the end of Brad Treliving's time in Toronto.
