The Toronto Maple Leafs' star forward Mitch Marner is set to return to the lineup on Saturday night in a game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed the news to Jonas Siegel, a reporter covering the team for The Athletic. He also revealed that Morgan Rielly was available to return on Wednesday.

"Sheldon Keefe says Morgan Rielly is available to return for the Leafs against Tampa on Wednesday.

Mitch Marner likely won't be available until Saturday in Montreal."

Marner has been sidelined for almost a month. He suffered a high-ankle sprain in early March and hasn't played since.

As for the rest of the team, they are currently preparing to face the Lightning in a crucial game tomorrow.

The Maple Leafs are preparing to play a critical game against the Lightning without Mitch Marner

Despite the importance of the game, the Leafs won't take any chances of aggravating Marner's injury when we're this close to the playoffs. There's still time for him to return, and they should use all of it, even if they haven't secured their playoff spot just yet.

The Lightning and Andrei Vasilevskiy have been red hot lately. He finally regained his confidence after an injury at the start of the season.

It won't be easy for Sheldon Keefe's men to beat him, but they did it last year in the first round of the playoffs, so they should get by once again.
