New Maple Leafs forward Steven Lorentz suffers injury during day 2 of training camp
In some breaking news, it appears that newly acquired forward Steven Lorentz of the Leafs has sustained an injury and will miss some time.
With training camp underway and players on the ice, the possibility of injuries always presents itself. That's unfortunately what has happened with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Steven Lorentz.
As reported by Leafs PR on social media X, Steven Lorentz suffered an upper-body injury and will be listed as day-to-day.
Steven Lorentz was drafted in the 7th round by the Carolina Hurricanes at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he played in 38 games for the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers and scored one goal and two assists, for three points. In his career, he has suited up in 230 NHL games, scoring 21 goals and 22 assists, for 43 points.
Leafs' fans and management are surely hoping he will not have to miss any significant time as the team could sure use his playoff and Stanley Cup experience as the franchise finally tries to get over that playoff hump.
