Nick Robertson's Trade Value Revealed As Deadline Nears, per Insider
A new report from The Athletic has Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson's trade value for the upcoming deadline and it doesn't spark a lot of hope for fans.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will be no doubt be looking to add some key pieces ahead of the trade deadline, and could look to Nick Robertson for some help.
The polarizing forward hasn't really gotten his stride in Toronto and has been fairly inconsistent and enduring a disappointing 2024-25 season after his breakout campaign last year.
His potential is still there, but according to a new article written for The Athletic: He's not going to fetch much of a return.
Nick Robertson Won't Bring In Much Regardless Of Potential

If you were to ask this question in September, you'd be hard-pressed to say he couldn't bring anything back. A blazing preseason start gave hope that the Leafs had found their new scoring threat.
But as we look at Robertson's season thus far, it's been anything but.
He has had two streaks where he's gone scoreless for multiple weeks, including a month in between his first two goals. December was an outlier for Robertson with four of his eight goals this year coming in the month.
So it's unsurprising that James Mirtle (who wrote the article) doesn't have much faith in Robertson's value:
Well, he's a small, offensive winger who has 12 points in 47 games playing sheltered minutes.
Maybe a non-playoff team will take a look for the last 20 games. He doesn't make much, has been a point-a-game player in the minors and is an RFA at the end of the season, remaining under team control.
But you're looking at a fairly late draft pick as compensation, get excited if it's a fourth.
Yikes. That's a really stark turnaround from a few short months ago and shows the massive downfall of Robertson this season.
Though Mirtle does also believe that Robertson, regardless of what he brings in, is going to be a casualty of Brad Treliving's trade plans:
That's something the Leafs may have to consider. Given they're going to be at the roster limit and cap with Järnkrok close to returning and more additions presumably coming at the deadline.
I suspect there'll be one or two casualties from the current roster who either end up on waivers or going the other way in trades before March 7, and Robertson is certainly a candidate to be one of them.
In 47 games this season, Robertson has eight goals and four assists. For his career, Robertson has 25 goals and 21 assists in 134 games since being drafted by Toronto 53rd overall.
