The series was tight every night and it seemed like it could've gone any way, but injuries in the Bolts' lineup and poor performances by Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed the Leafs to eliminate them.
After the loss, Cooper phrased his answers carefully and it seems that Sheldon Keefe used the same strategy.
In his last post-game press conference of the season, Jon Cooper explained the loss of his team in a way that didn't give any credits to the Leafs.
He said that the Bolts beat themselves more than anything else.
After today's practice, when Keefe spoke to the medias, he used Cooper's strategy and didn't give any credit to the Panthers, saying Florida played well but have no merit as the Leafs beat themselves.
It may be a minor strategy, but every small detail comes into account come playoff time and the media game is part of that. After all, Cooper won two Stanley Cups!
