Two Leafs Fan-Favourites Will Officially Leave the Team at Noon
The hard salary cap is unforgiving, and unfortunately for the Maple Leafs, it will now make them lose two fan-favourites for nothing.
Schenn and O'Reilly to Explore Free Agency
Both 2023 deadline acquisitions, Leafs fans were almost unanimously in love with Luke Schenn and Ryan O'Reilly.
Schenn, in his second silting with the team, brought significant leadership through their run to the second round, and O'Reilly, a hometown boy, was an amazing addition to their middle-six.
With the Leafs facing a tough cap situation, however, they will both be let go to free agency.
