Golden Knights' Success Costs Casinos Millions
The Vegas Golden Knights had a successful season but one that unfortunately costed a local casino millions.
Casino Loses Millions Due To Knights
Last season, the Vegas Golden Knights made history by winning their first Stanley Cup. This left many fans excited, especially those who gambled on the series.
In a recent article for Vegas Hockey Now, reporter Chris Gawlik shared how much Casinos lost due to the Knight's success.
According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, sports books in Nevada lost $6.6 million in June.
Maybe Not All Losses
While it was reported that they lost $6.6 million in winnings, it can be assumed that more people were out gambling and spending money in other regards as the Golden Knights won the cup.
However, they have learned their lesson and placed Vegas as the favorite to win the 2024 Stanley Cup with odds of +650 at STN Casinos.
