Carbery's been Assistant-Coach to Sheldon Keefe for the past two seasons and he seems ready to take on the next step.

What if Laviolette was hired in Toronto? For now, Keefe is still there, but if he were fired, it would make sense to bring an experienced guy like Laviolette. With more than 20 years behind an NHL's bench, he's seen it all, but never worked in Toronto.
