BREAKING: We Now Know Kuznetsov's Future in the NHL
Yesterday afternoon, the NHLPA announced that Evgeny Kuznetsov has been released from the NHL Player assistance program in hopes of returning to play.
Later on, it was announced that the Washington Capitals would place their top centre on waivers, in a bombshell of a news. Today, we now know what is in store and the results of the waiver wire.
Evgeny Kuznetsov clears waivers
Not so shocking news, according to insider Elliotte Friedman, it was announced that Evgeny Kuznetsov has cleared waivers and will be assigned to the Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL team.
Kuznetsov carries a 8M cap hit, making it hard for teams to add him to their core despite his ridiculous talent.
Hopefully he regains his form and finds his game, returning to the player he once was.
