The Toronto Maple Leafs completed a trade with the Anaheim Ducks during the 2024 NHL Draft.

In breaking news, Brad Treliving and the Maple Leafs have decided to make a trade instead of going up the stage at the 23rd rank.
They sent the 23rd overall pick to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for picks 31 and 58.
"The #leafs trade pick No. 23 to Anaheim for Nos. 31 and 58. Toronto adds a second-rounder."

With the 23rd pick, the Ducks ended up drafting the Norwegian defenseman Stian Solberg:
"Stian Solberg, Anaheim Duck!

We've selected the Norwegian defenseman with the 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft."

Many fans hoped to see Brad Treliving draft someone at the 23rd rank, considering how well things turned out with the Leafs' 2023 first round pick Easton Cowan. Now, they hope that they make the right pick at the 31st selection.
With all the rumours surrouding Mitch Marner, everyone's eager to see what will happen to the star forward. Unfortunately, we'll need to wait before seeing the player change teams.
More to come.
