In the same evening, Leon Draisaitl accomplished something big.
The Montreal Canadiens held up their own in the game against the Oilers, despite the major difference in standings between both teams.
Thanks to Leon Draisaitl's goal in overtime, Oilers' fans could celebrate a win. Not only that, it was Draisaitl's 61st game-winning goal, tying Wayne Gretzky at the third rank in Oilers' history for most in that category.

However, a fight emerged between fans, tarnishing the celebrations.
A few Oilers fans lost their tempers after the game, which resulted in a wild brawl. Several punches flew around before the fans who were in it ran away.
It's not unusual for fans to get upset after games, but we don't often see such incident with fans from the same team.
It seems they might have gotten a bit too much inspiration from Sam Carrick and Michael Pezzetta in the beginning of the game.
Indeed, with two minutes played in the first period, both players met at center ice for a reckless fight.
Here, Sam Carrick showed exactly what the Oilers brought him for at the trade deadline, in a package from the Anaheim Ducks involving Adam Henrique.
In the playoffs, teams compete harder and Edmonton needed a physical player that isn't afraid to get involved in altercations. There's no doubt that he'll play a valuable role for the team going into the playoffs. Even if he doesn't bring a big offensive contribution, his style fits right in the Oilers' bottom-six.
