Howden Ejected For Hit On Tanev
In the middle of the third period of last night's game between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken, Brett Howden laid a vicious hit on Kraken forward Brandon Tanev.
#VegasBorn's Brett Howden is given a match penalty for illegal check to the head of #SeaKraken's Brandon Tanev

Tanev was very slow to get up. Major penalty has been called.
Tanev is entering his 9th NHL season at 31 years old and is coming off of a career-high 16 goals and 35 points.
Howden is a 25-year-old centerman entering his sixth NHL season. He had a down year last year with only 13 points.
It is likely that Howden will receive supplementary discipline for this hit on Tanev but we do not know if that will come in the form of a fine or a suspension.
