The worst is confirmed for Brad Marchand during Game 3 vs Panthers
The Bruins appear to be heading for a 2-1 series deficit today as they trail the Florida Panthers 4-2 late in the game. However, the more concerning news is that Brad Marchand left the game early.
The Bruins may not have much hope to win game three at home given the deficit they have put themselves in. Furthermore, they have played what is perhaps their worst playoff game in recent memory, mustering just 11 shots on goal through the first 49 minutes. However, the health of their captain is of bigger concern.
UPDATE: Brad #Marchand is unlikely to return to the game. (Upper body Injury) 0-4 for #Panthers in the 3rd.
The Bruins announced part way through the 3rd period that Marchand is unlikely to return for the rest of the game. However, they did not rule him out entirely, but they did specify that he is dealing with an upper-body injury.
UPDATE: Brad Marchand (upper-body) is unlikely to return to tonight's game.
It is not clear when exactly he would have sustained the injury, but many have focused on this hit that he took from Sam Bennet along the boards.
The Bruins have announced Brad Marchand is unlikely to return to the game with an upper body injury.
Marchand played the rest of the first and second after taking this hit from Bennett
The Bruins have made a statement with two third period goals, but it likely won't be enough to win tonight. Be sure to tune in to see how the rest of the series plays out.
