Going into the off-season, Mike Hoffman is a highly intriguing player. He will most likely be a free agent again after spending this season with the St. Louis Blues. The veteran forward scored 17 goals and has 36 points in 52 games this season. Those are impressive results, but he didn't fit in with the team's scheme. He was even healthy scratched, which may seem unusual for a player of his caliber.

Despite this, the sniper should have a number of teams interested in him this summer. He has previously demonstrated his ability to be a game-changer. Because he is older, he is also a good candidate for a short-term contract. Teams who are more offensively oriented, on the other hand, would benefit the most from Hoffman's signing.

This summer, these two organizations should put forth a lot of effort to sign Hoffman.

Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers need some serious help when it comes to the left wing. This position was already weak this season, but if Ryan Nugent-Hopkins signs elsewhere, it will be even worse. Regardless of what happens on that front, they should sign Hoffman.

Hoffman is a sniper who, when surrounded by the right players, can score a lot of goals. Playing on a line with Connor McDavid, the best player in the league, would be extremely beneficial to him. With his attacking ability, he would also aid their power play.

Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers had a good regular season, and supporters should be excited heading into the playoffs. They should try to bring in a winger this off-season to help them advance even farther. This would give their offensive group a better balance. Hoffman is a known figure who has previously had a lot of success with the franchise, so he may be a fun addition.

In fact, during his time in Florida, Hoffman had some of his best statistical seasons. He'd be a fantastic fit in their top six, as well as a welcome addition to their power play. The team could even sign him for another year or two because they already know he's a good match.
