Earlier in the season, Nick Ritchie was sent to the ballot by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Unfortunately for him, at that time, no team wanted to claim him.
Last February, the Leafs traded him to the Arizona Coyotes for forward Ryan Dzingel and defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin.
Since then, he's been on fire.
In 12 games with Arizona since his trade, the former 10th overall pick in 2014 has eight points. Isn't that outstanding?
At 26 years old, the 6-foot-3 big man is clearly not done and can still play good hockey. He has 154 points (67 goals, 87 assists) in 395 regular season games with the Ducks, Bruins, Maple Leafs and Coyotes.
