In an interview with RDS, Montreal Canadiens assistant coach Alex Burrows would like to see the first overall pick in the last draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, break into the team's lineup this season, in addition to giving him a role on the power play.
« You can see he's ready physically. He's strong, he skates well and he has great offensive skills. It's going to be at the rookie camp and the Habs camp that he'll be able to stand out. Let's hope that he will find a place with our team. We'll have to try to find a spot for him on the power play, for sure, with the way he's able to shoot the puck." - Alex Burrows via RDS
It's pretty rare to see a coach step forward so quickly.
Clearly, he's already confident that Slafkovsky will be an important part of the team next season.
