The last few months have been very eventful for the Montreal Canadiens organization. After narrowly qualifying for the playoffs, the team had an incredible run with Carey Price in net. Unfortunately, the Tricolore fell apart in the Stanley Cup Final, losing in five games to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Then the expansion draft knocked on the door and Montreal rebelled when it was revealed that the veteran goalie would not be protected. Tempers cooled after that, but there was chaos for a few days.
On her blog, Carey's wife Angela Price talks about how she and her husband experienced these stressful events.
Let's start at the beginning. The playoffs. Right from the start, she says that she experienced the spring tournament to the fullest, with all the anxiety that comes with it. And she wasn't the only one. All the women were under a certain amount of stress. I can't even imagine the players. In fact, she admitted that it was very hard for her to get to work knowing that every game was important and that with every win, her husband was one step closer to greatness. She was unable to be productive and could spend hours in front of her computer without really doing much. Family members were tested a few times during the week, while the players had to go through it every day. And no one wanted to be the reason the team forfeited.

Another milestone: the expansion draft. We all remember when the organization announced that Carey Price would be available for the Kraken. There was a furor on social media and, of course, rumours started to surface. Angela had even made a story on Instagram to calm down the fans by telling them that everything would make sense in the next few days. And indeed, within days, we learned that Carey Price was injured and might need surgery. With his hefty contract, the Price family and the CH were hoping the Kraken would pass. To believe that Price wanted to leave the city is false. In her text, Angela also admits that she was hurt by the comments of some fans. She also says that the decision was very difficult to make.
She continues with a few words about the operation. According to her, everything went well and Carey is recovering. The fans hope to see him healthy as soon as possible.
