To replace the voids left by Shea Weber's impending retirement, Philippe Danault's move to the Los Angeles Kings, Jesperi Kotkaniemi's decision to accept a hostile offer from the Hurricanes, as well as Tomas Tatar and Corey Perry's departures, General Manager Marc Bergevin had to go above and beyond.
