BREAKING: Defenseman Assessed Game Misconduct For Dangerous Hit On 1st Overall Pick
A Buffalo Sabres are losing one of their top defensemen following a dangerous hit to the head on a former first overall pick.
Clifton Given Game Misconduct
During the first period of tonight's game between the Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils, defenseman Connor Clifton laid a high and dangerous hit on 2017 first-overall pick Nico Hischier.
Clifton was brought into Buffalo last offseason after playing the beginning portion of his career with Boston.
It is unknown if there will be a suspension as a result of this hit but given how Hischier is alright, there will likely not be a suspension.
