Josh Brown is the latest Ottawa Senator to sign up for the COVID-19 protocol. Brown joins Austin Watson, Nick Holden, Connor Brown, and Victor Mete in COVID procedure.
The Senators had to bring up Filip Gustavsson last night because backup goalkeeper Anton Forsberg was out with a non-Covid sickness. He arrived late without his gear.
The issue is out of control, and the NHL hopes it doesn't resemble the April 2021 Vancouver Canucks' debacle. An epidemic led the league to postpone games and rearrange scheduling.
Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly told PostMedia team insider Bruce Garrioch that the NHL is «monitoring the situation» in Ottawa. They prefer not to postpone games.
