Bad News for Minnesota Wild Spurgeon and Zuccarello

Spurgeon's procedure appears to have already taken place, and he is now expected to recover completely in about six weeks. Six weeks off isn't ideal because it cuts into a player's offseason training.
This, according to Russo, has been a long-standing issue for Spurgeon, who he believes has been dealing with it since the Winter Classic.
Zuccarello appears to be dealing with the same type of injury as Spurgeon, and as a result, his situation appears to be very similar to Spurgeon's. Zuccarello, on the other hand, has not yet undergone surgery, and according to Russo.
Captain Jared Spurgeon had core muscle surgery and is expected back to full strength in 6 weeks. Hampered him since before Winter Classic, I believe.
RW Mats Zuccarello is having similar surgery/same timetable. He also had a fracture in leg that will heal with rest. I just know what I reported: significant injury that required surgery. I «think» he'll be ready close to camp
