The Nashville Predators have traded star defenseman Ryan Ellis to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Philip Myers and Nolan Patrick.
Nashville then sent Nolan Patrick to the Vegas Golden Knights for Cody Glass.
Defenceman Ryan Ellis has been traded from the Preds to Philly for Philippe Myers and Nolan Patrick. Patrick was then flipped by Nashville to Vegas for Cody Glass.
There had been Rumours earlier that Patrick, the second overall pick in 2017, had requested a trade from the Flyers. The team has now obliged. Patrick has struggled with bad migraine headaches over the past two seasons but appears to be getting better.
Nashville had looked to deal Ellis before this past season's trade deadline, but decided to hold on to him when the team started performing better. Ellis won't add much offense, but he is a very reliable defensive defenceman.
Glass split last season between Vegas and the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL. Myers had one goals and 10 assists in 44 games.
