Journalist Marco D'Amico of Montreal Hockey Now reported some interesting words from Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes.
He confirmed that he wants to make more changes to his lineup, especially at defense.
It might be a right-handed defenseman. Will it be an impact back, a veteran or a depth defenseman? That remains to be seen.
« If we are able to find, and we believe it will be absolutely possible on the trade market or via the trade-in, we would like to acquire a right-handed defenseman who would be available to us. We will continue to study that and work on that.. »
