According to Sportsnet's 32 Thoughts blog, the Canadiens are considering adding a puck-moving defenceman. The Canadiens have major openings on the blue line to fill, and the young talent on their NHL and AHL squads might help them land a game-changing defenseman.
Some names who may be available include Colorado Avalanche Samuel Girard, Arizona Coyotes Shayne Gostisbehere, and Vancouver Canucks Tyler Myers.
The Canadiens presently have 10 points (4-12-2). Montreal is seventh out of eight in their division and looks like a lottery club unless they on a good streak. Strange fall after reaching the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
