NHL_Watcher on Twitter shares some news as the Carolina Hurricanes are trying to aquire the services of Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jacob Chychrun.
Reports are the Carolina Hurricanes are willing to trade center Jesperi Kotkaniemi in the deal. Kotkaniemi signed an $6.100,020 dollar offer sheet this off-season, an offer the Montreal Canadiens didn't match. The Hurricanes would also have to add more then Kotkaniemi to land Chychrun.
Fun Fact if a Kotkaniemi trade for Chychrun happens he will join the Canadiens other 3rd Overall pick from 2012 Alex Galchenyuk, with Kotkaniemi being the 3rd Overall pick in 2018.
Elliotte Friedman said "there are 4 teams very interested in Chychrun, the Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues".
Jacob Chychrun, who's 23, has 48 goals, 80 assists, with a -29 rating in 316 games with the Coyotes.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who's 21, has 29 goals, 49 assists, with a -9 rating in 204 games.
