Cole Caufield is not coming back to the NHL for a long time

TVA's Marc-Andre Perreault tweeted something that very intriguing:
From my understanding of what Ducharme said. Don't expect to see Caufield back in Montreal in the very short term (unless there are exceptional circumstances). The goal is to get him back to his jumping off point, without rushing anything.
I do understand where Ducharme is coming from. The Canadiens are almost last in the LEAGUE! Yes, you read that correctly. From Stanley Cup Finals to dead last, with the loss of Weber and Price the beginning of the season has been really hard on them.
Ducharme does not want Cole Caufield's development to be affected by this. He rather leave him in the minors where he can dominate and score a lot of goals.
