Connor McDavid Calls Out the NHL After the Oilers Overtime Winner Gets Called Back
Connor McDavid felt the wrath of confusing NHL rules last night. The offside rule is one of the most controversial in the league, as it has several technicalities and often gets in the way of seemingly good goals.
Last night, on Leon Draisaitl's overtime winner, offside got in the way. Ultimately, the Oilers then lost the game.
McDavid caused the offside' when he briefly lost possession while crossing the blue line.
In McDavid's post-game interview, he didn't cease to call out the NHL for this rule:
This was oddly resonant to an offside controversy concerning Cale Makar last season. In his case, the goal did count.
Do you think McDavid is right, or was this the right call?
