McDavid and the Oilers handed the Calgary Flames their second loss in the second round Stanley Cup playoff series on Sunday night, and it was possibly Calgary's most difficult loss of the playoffs thus far.
That was a fantastic achievement for the Oilers as a whole, but McDavid also accomplished something no other player has ever done.
According to Sportsnet Stats, McDavid became the first player in NHL history to have nine multi-point games in the first ten games of a single playoff run on Sunday night.
That is an accomplishment that none of the previous NHL luminaries, including Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Bobby Orr, and others, have ever accomplished in their illustrious careers.
