The duo of Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield have struggled a bit in recent weeks, but overall they are having a sensational season.
Both are on a 70 point pace for the season and that is very positive for the future.
According to analyst Simon "Snake" Boisvert on the Tony Marinaro podcast, Suzuki and Caufield should be playing on a second line in the future, not a first line, if the Habs want to contend for a cup.
« Having Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on a first line is great for a rebuilding or mid-pack team. But to be a Stanley Cup contender, they will have to be second trio players because the Habs have managed to build a better first trio. If they play on a second trio, the Habs would definitely be a contender for top honors." - Simon Boisvert
