In his most recent appearance on 98.5 Sports, Dubé said he sees the young sniper scoring no more than 10 to 15 goals this season, adding that it would be a tremendous production under the circumstances.
"I think Cole Caufield should pick up between 10 and 15 goals or so in my opinion, which would be amazing for a young player. [...] I'm trying to wrap my head around it but it's rare that a young guy will come in like that and even if he has a good playoff run that right away you take him and put him on the first line the next season. There are some exceptional players for whom this has happened. I can't wait to see him. [...] If he gets to 20 goals, I'm happy and everyone is happy."
