Devils Fan on the Hunt for Rangers Fan Who Sucker Punched Him
It's ok to be disappointed and even upset when your favourite team is eliminated from the NHL playoffs. It's not ok to take out your anger on a fan of the opposing team.
Woo Croo Member Punched
A member of the New Jersey Devils 'Woo Crew', a group of fans whose job it is to get the crowd into the game, is looking for a New York Rangers fan he says sucker-punched him twice at last night's game. He also posted video of the incident.
This appears to have taken place following the goal by the Devils' Erik Haula, which put New Jersey up 3-0 in game 7 late in the third period.
It looks like several Rangers fans decided to leave at that point, knowing it was unlikely New York would be able to come back. Not a great way to show your sportsmanship. The member of the 'Woo Crew' was simply trying to do his job.
