Last week, radio host and former tough guy Georges Laraque mentioned that the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames were very interested in Josh Anderson.
"Georges Laraque mentioned to Marinaro that Edmonton and Calgary are interested in Josh Anderson."
Sportsnet's insider Elliotte Friedman added, knowing this information from Laraque.
"Friedman at intermission said the Oilers are looking for a forward who has edge, a guy who can hit the corners and can score. They've felt that way since Evander Kane's injury. Right now, their GM feels they lack toughness and are too easy to play against." Clearly, the Oilers are targeting a player like Josh Anderson and it will be interesting to see what Ken Holland can do in the next few weeks, to make up for Kane's absence.
