It all began with Jeff O'Neill who's never been the biggest Evander Kane fan, but things are getting heated after O'Neil made comments on Evander kane's relationship with his daughter.
Jeff O'Neill said the "he needs to work on his relationship with his daughter." To which Kane replied saying "He wished Jeff O'Neill played in the NHL today."
Evander Kane would than take to Twitter to respond saying this,
"The other day I'm listening to a radio show... it's Jeff O'Neill talking and he says something about me in a negative way... and he follows it up with, 'he just needs to focus on having a better relationship with his daughter.' And like... infuriated would be an understatement when I heard that. Infuriated. Because, you're literally making a judgement about my relationship with my daughter and trying to use that in a negative way to portray me... that's ridiculous. That's crossing the line. That's... I wish Jeff played in the NHL right now. That's how mad I was," Kane said.
It doesn't matter if you're a fan of Evander Kane or not, no one wants their family business out there. More importantly as a father you don't want your family brought up on social media.
Jeff O'Neill doesn't know the whole story of Evander Kane and his daughter's relationship and more importantly this doesn't need to be shared by a NHL broadcaster to stir up more controversy for Kane who clearly has enough on his own.
