Evgeni Malkin Disses Sidney Crosby For Hitting Him With The Puck
Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are one of the best duos in NHL history. They are best friends and elite teammates, but sometimes even the best of friends mess up.
During practice, Crosby and Malkin were practicing a play. Crosby shot a puck that hit Malkin. Luckily he was okay, but he then went on to diss Crosby's shot!
I asked Malkin what Crosby said after catching him with the puck.
"He say, next time, I shoot harder," Geno laughed. "I mean, I'm lucky it's Sid's shot and not like Tanger or Guentz. We know Sid does not shoot so hard."
Gotta love the chirps between the Two-Headed Monster.
All jokes aside - "but no, he say sorry," Malkin said. "It's a goal, I'm so happy. Because if I don't score, it feels so much worse." Him and Sid practice that play a lot, and it was just bad luck the puck caught Malkin the way it did.
Always fun to see this friend dynamic in action.
