Jonathan Drouin provides an update on his health in an interview with RDS' Chantal Machabée. The forward began by saying he is doing GREAT!
"It's going great, I've been spending time with my friends this summer."
-Jonathan Drouin
Chantal then asked him what had transpired since he left Calgary on April 23. His anxiousness had gotten terrible to the point that his body couldn't keep up and he experienced insomnia.
"An anxiety problem, but this past year it took it to another level."
-Jonathan Drouin
Machabée asked him how he saw the Canadiens' playoffs from afar.
"I had made the decision to step back, to take care of myself. I was at peace with my decision. I was happy for my teammates."
-Jonathan Drouin
Drouin appeared calm, fit, and in charge. His face reflected his mood. Chantal Machabée believed he seemed relieved after the interview was ended. He's ready to move on. To put an end to unfounded rumours.
