The excellent Michel Laprise of RDS has proposed four trades that the Habs could make to acquire the second overall pick in the upcoming draft.
Remember that these are not rumours, but proposals.
Here are the four offers proposed by the Balle Courbe team:
1 - The Devils give away their 2022 first-round pick, second overall. In return, the CH gives Cayden Primeau, the Flames' first-round pick in 2022 and the Panthers' first-round pick in 2023.
2 - The Devils give away their first round pick this year and the CH gives away Brendan Gallagher, the Flames first round pick in 2022 and the Panthers first round pick in 2023.
3 - The Devils send their first round pick and 2020 first round pick defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin to the Tricolore. Kent Hughes trades Cole Caufield to New Jersey.
4 - The Devils give away their first-round pick in return for Jeff Petry, Jonathan Drouin, the Flames' first-round pick, a second-round pick in 2022 and the Ducks' third-round pick from 2022. The chances of that happening are very slim, but the offers remain interesting.
